Daytime Urgent and Emergency Vet Care Available
We don't like to think about it, but when our beloved dogs or cats are sick, the stressful attempt to get into a hospital or an emergency Vet starts. Luckily, due to our ever-expanding medical options and the number of doctors we have on staff, we can often take on a few urgent care appointments each day and avoid a full trip to an overnight referral hospital. We are proud to offer daytime same-day illness appointments when our triage team thinks it is necessary to be seen and safe to do so in our facility. We are also able to consult you as to when a more serious condition necessitates transfer to a larger overnight hospital or one with intensive care options. While we do not offer overnight care, or severe ICU stabilization for major events such as congestive heart failure, severe traumas, or certain critical surgeries, by taking on most of our emergency vet appointments ourselves we are often able to help our pet population stay out of a full referral. This saves time and expense wherever possible while sticking to our core value of patient-centered medicine through and through!
Blood TestingWe have a full laboratory for urgent care needs to check for things like pancreatitis, urinary tract infections, diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, tick-borne infections, and more! Often when your pet is sick, it's scary to not know what is happening to them, but blood and urine testing for your dog, cat, and even rabbit can tell a whole lot about what is making them ill.

Digital Xray RadiographyIf your pet comes to us with signs of limping, vomiting, abdominal pain, breathing difficulties, or generalized illness, we can get almost instantaneous Xray results with our digital system. With the combination of multiple veterinarians on staff to read each study, as well as digital consultation with a certified Radiologist available, you'll be sure to get quick answers.

Pet UltrasoundFor those cases that bloodwork and Xrays won't tell the whole story, our state of the art ultrasound unit can come into play quickly. With ultrasound, we can seek out things like bladder stones, kidney stones & cysts, splenic and liver tumors, gall bladder stones and obstructions, abdominal fluid, and certain gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and adrenal concerns.

For those emergencies we cannot treat...
|
While we certainly wish to care for all of our own patients, part of that care is knowing when it's best to refer to an overnight or specialty hospital. Things like oxygen-dependent congestive heart failure or pneumonia, severe traumas like hit-by-car, or ICU endeavors such as an advanced urinary blocked cat, critical infection, diabetic emergency, etc may be transferred to one of the hospital listed to the right. Each case is different, and we're here to provide emergency veterinary care for you whenever that decision is right for your pet. We thank you for trusting our triage process and will always keep your pet's best interest at heart.
